The Small Print (aka Terms and Conditions)
Rates:
Hotel prices are given in as much detail as we can on the hotel page. Sometimes
a hotel has extra variables in its tariff that we cannot show. We will confirm
the exact price of your room and any options available in the course of dealing
with your enquiry/booking. Please note that some prices include VAT and some
are "plus VAT", which is currently 8% in Spain. There is no VAT in
the Canary Islands but there is a similar tax charged at 5%.
Contract:
Little Hotels acts as an intermediary, to provide you with a service which is free of charge to you. When you make a booking, you are making a contract with the hotel concerned.
Reservations:
When we send you confirmation details of your reservation, you know that you have a definite reservation. Until we send you that confirmation, you do not have a definite reservation. We normally confirm reservations within 24 hours of receiving your booking request, although sometimes it takes a little longer. If you haven't received a confirmation within 48 hours, something has gone wrong so please contact us. Once you have sent a booking, it is your responsibility to be sure that it has been received and confirmed. Hotels request a credit card number in order to guarantee a reservation. You may send that to us through our secure server, using the link we give you. Unless it is necessary to actually pay a deposit (see below), no payment will be taken from your card at this time.
Deposits:
Some hotels do require a deposit. The deposit policy of each hotel is shown on the hotel's page. If a deposit is required, the hotel will charge it to your credit card at the time of booking.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel, contact the hotel in writing, with a copy to us so that
we can follow it up for you. Make sure you receive an acknowledgement back. Within
the chargeable cancellation period, it is up to the hotel whether they charge
you the cancellation amount. When you make a reservation, you are confirming
that you have read and agreed to the hotel's cancellation policy and the terms
and conditions shown on this site. As the cancellation policy for each hotel
may be different, please make sure you have read the policy for each hotel you
are booking. A no-show or early departure is regarded as the same as cancellation.
It's best to have travel
insurance arranged,
just in case you have to cancel.
Accuracy of information:
Little Hotels makes every effort to accurately describe the hotels on this website, but sometimes changes occur that may not be immediately reflected here. Neither the hotels nor Little Hotels can be held responsible for such changes. On occasion a situation may arise in which the hotel is forced to close temporarily or withdraw certain services or facilities. Although we would try to inform you of any changes as soon as we are advised, we cannot guarantee to do so. We reserve the right to make changes to our website and these terms and conditions at any time.
Special Requests:
Little Hotels is happy to make any special requests on your behalf. However these can only be "requests" and we cannot guarantee that they will be available.
