The Summer Experience at The Sea Club
The Sea Club, if you are not already familiar, is like staying in an English house party in a large rambling private Mediterranean villa. From the last week of June to the first week of September The Sea Club becomes a very social and lively place with many return families and friends enjoying the vibrant atmosphere in the sun.
The laid back ambience is what The Sea Club is all about, once you have been you may never want to leave. The Cumberlege family and staff will make you feel like you are staying in a home from home. If you are a first timer, it will not be long until you have become integrated into this unique place.
The pivotal point of The Sea Club is the outdoor garden bar. It is informal, unpretentious and little has changed since the early days. Serving a variety of cocktails, wines and soft drinks, it is open from midday until past midnight. It is run by a barman during lunch and after the siesta hours. Otherwise, it is self-service.
During the summer months they offer lunches and dinners (included in the half board price). Lunch orders are taken from 13:15 to 14:30. Lunches consist of Toasties, Gazpacho, Salads, Burgers and Steak.
Dinner begins at the bar with tapas being served around the terrace bar from 8:45pm, followed by dinner at around 9:30pm served either on the front terrace overlooking the sea or in the inner terrace area. Water is included with dinner. For wines, there is a selection at the bar ranging from local Majorcan to popular Spanish wines. Children are catered for according to age. Infant's supper is served between 19:00-20:30 hours. This can be arranged between the parents and kitchen staff.
Cala Ratjada has plenty of activities to offer, from snorkelling off the rocks, tennis and watersports that are all within walking distace of The Sea Club. There is also a private motorboat available to rent by hours or half a day with skipper, who will take you to the most beautiful coves on the north eastern part of Mallorca. Picnics can also be arranged.
