Finca Las Encinas

A bed and breakfast hotel like no other.
Late arrival due to flight fiasco. Arrive 11.15 pm in the dark but thanks to Mika's excellent directions we arrive safely but perhaps not over confidently. A1 welcome.
If one is looking for abject luxury you would not consider this as a holiday destination. If you are looking for something unique in the midst of olive groves in a clean and comfortable place with a pool in a small hamlet and then add a friendly welcome from the owners and their pets then you have found this little gem. My wife and I stayed for 9 nights. We had al fresco dining and the dinners prepared by Clive were nothing short of sensational. Clive even attempted to show me how to prepare a meal (I need practice) but the result was a tasty offering even if my presentation was nowhere nears the chef's.
You can have quiet or conversation but if you do not like people this place is not for you. Other guests we mingled with we felt as if we had known them for some time; such is the holiday (little) hotel's uniqueness and atmosphere. The owners are chatty and intelligent. Clive has a dry humour (do not light a match near him) Mika is the opposite. Perfect combination!
Ok to drive to Cordoba, Granada, Antequera and even the coast. We could have done Seville too.
Try it. You will love it. We will return.
