Casa de Carmona is a truly aristocratic house-turned-hotel that pampers its guests with its ornate luxury and beauty. Meanwhile the staff provide the finishing touches in a discreet and friendly manner. All this at a very affordable price.
Set just 30 km from Seville, this luxury hotel is a great location for visiting the city, or equally for enjoying the other towns and countryside that is all around. Being in the centre of Carmona (a surprising and beautiful historic town) the garden and swimming pool are small, but it is the public rooms that are the raison d'etre of this hotel. The loggia and patios (yes, four patios) are filled with light while the lounges, the restaurant and the library are filled with elegant furniture and antiques.
Accommodation ranges from attractive double rooms right up to the amazing Suite Azul, probably the finest, grandest suite that we have ever seen (unfortunately not available just at the moment).
Casa de Carmona was a town palace that remained in the same family for centuries. Not until 1987 was it sold to a lady of exquisite taste who used all of her design skills to transform the old house into a wonderful hotel. The terracotta, marble, fountains, pot-plants, antique furniture, fine prints seem to know no bounds. Today, Casa de Carmona is managed by the enthusiastic owner Felipe; a man steeped in the traditions of grand houses who is totally dedicated to his guests and his hotel.
Meals
The Gracia Real restaurant is a very elegant dining space with stuccoed walls and equestrian frescos, mahogany Victorian tables, elegant china. The a la carte menu is focused on the best of local ingredients prepared with respect to their flavours. There is no silly pretension; just unbeatable freshness within a sensible and understandable concept. The wine list features up-to-date and affordable Spanish wines.
