One of the jewels of the Barcelona modernista movement, El Palauet provides luxury two-bedroom suites in the most privileged part of the city. Designed by architect Pere Falqués i Urpí in 1906, it is an exuberant example of modernist architecture blended with touches of baroque and brought up-to-date with cutting edge 21st century furnishings and technology.

The six apartments are quite simply massive: 150m2 with a lounge, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Three of them have views of the Passeig de Gracia and Jardins de Salvador Espriu while the others face the Convent de Pompeia and the Tibidabo mountain.  Depending on the suite, there are cast iron balconies, art nouveau stained glass and spectacular ceilings to gladden the heart. The facilities are totally comprehensive.

The spa includes a wooden sauna. Alongside that is a terrace with a chill-out area where you can enjoy Spanish wines, beers, cocktails and soft drinks with snacks.

A personal assistant is always on hand to help guests with anything they need. The concierge service can book a massage, a baby-sitter or a show, as well as arranging trips and tours of every sort. A private chef can come in to cook a meal in your own kitchen and the waiting service will take of all the serving and dishes. You can have breakfast prepared for you too.

El Palauet is on one of Barcelona’s most exclusive avenues, Passeig de Gràcia, a modernist area par excellence where many great works of Catalan modernist architecture can be found alongside luxury boutiques.
